IT ALL STARTED WITH AN ALASKAN DREAM.

In 1972, the F-Bar-J Ranch was founded by Fred and Jan Wolfley. They purchased the land on Lore Road with their dream to build a house and horse ranch in the meadow. They welcomed others to take part of this dream which became the home of many from dogs, cats, horses, and new friends to enjoy.

Although Fred passed in the summer of 2020 & Jan in early 2013, their dream still lives on.

We continue to carry on their dreams for the F-Bar-J Ranch and honor their memory with love and gratitude.

And, we would like to share it with you.

PROVIDING A HOME AWAY FROM HOME

More than a Ranch.

F-Bar-J Ranch is a local family-orientated ranch that strives on providing a warm and caring environment for you and your horse. We strive to make the most of everything the great outdoors offers and work together to build a sustainable, community orientated ranch.

WORKING TOGETHER AS A SUSTAINABLE BARN

Our barn provides all the necessities for our boarders from the food the horses eat, where they live, where they exercise and where to ride them.

Each horse parent who boards with us is responsible in keeping their horse's stall and paddock area clear and manure free – daily. We believe this is essential as it provides opportunities for daily interaction and strengthens the bond between horse and horse parent. The barn provides empty carts for waste and used bedding.

What happens to the waste and manure?

The barn crew will haul the manure to a designated waste holding area where it is composted.
